C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;un des rapaces les plus communs&nbsp;&nbsp;avec la&nbsp;buse variable&nbsp;et le&nbsp;milan noir. Son petit est le fauconneau. Ses yeux sont noirs. La femelle a la t\u00eate et le corps mouchet\u00e9 et une queue rousse avec raies noires. Le m\u00e2le a la t\u00eate et la queue gris ardoise avec un trait de moustache noire sous les yeux.
